SIMON PEARCE

Lighting & Glassware

On an exploratory trip about 25 years ago to New England, with the goal of visiting some bespoke furniture makers there. In Vermont, Jack met the remarkably-gifted, transplanted Irishman named Charles Shackleton who showed what beautiful furniture could be crafted from solid Cherrywood. Charles showed his work in a showroom of another transplanted Irish fellow named Simon Pearce. Simon’s trade was hand-blown clear glass in many forms - bowls, vases, stemware and more. The juxtaposition of the warmth of natural Cherrywood with cool, clear glass struck a chord. After “thinking about it” for 25 years, we now show a wide range of work from the Simon Pearce studio, including a range of striking table and pendant lamps in both clear glass and pottery.
